Neil Quartaro will speak on the “M/V Dali Allision in Baltimore Limitation of Liability” panel at the Inter-Pacific Bar Association’s 33rd Annual Meeting and Conference. Following the dramatic allision between M/V DALI and the Francis Scott Key Memorial Bridge in Baltimore, the U.S. Shipowners’ Limitation of Liability Act and international analogues have been under pressure. Neil and the other panelists will discuss the ability of shipowners to limit their liability for certain accidents. They will also discuss the current state of the law, possible changes to the limitation of liability regime, and the legal and financial costs of such changes.
