Jerry Goldfeder will moderate the “Assuming Without Deciding: The Interplay Between The Court's Racial Gerrymandering Jurisprudence and Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act” panel for the American Bar Association. Jerry and the other panelists will examine how the Supreme Court navigates the complicated question of how states can use race to draw district lines and discuss recent litigation challenging mid-decade redistricting in both Texas and California. They will also discuss how the Supreme Court's Section 2 jurisprudence could be impacted by its pending ruling in Louisiana v. Callais.
