Ken Fisher is quoted in a Crain’s New York Business article discussing Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s plans to push for higher taxes and a rent freeze. Mamdani’s mission to freeze rent has many developers and their advisors on edge, and has left many others hesitant about his ambitious campaign promises. “I thought his acceptance speech last night set an exceedingly high bar for himself,” said Ken, in reference to Mamdani’s victory speech, where he doubled down on his affordability agenda. “We'll see whether that's well-placed confidence or youthful exuberance.”
