John Ho and Jake Rubinstein Elected as Class of 2025 Fellows to the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers

John Ho and Jake Rubinstein have been elected as Class of 2025 Fellows to the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. Founded in 1995, the College honors the leading lawyers nationwide in the practice of labor and employment law. Membership is by nomination only and honors lawyers who have demonstrated to their peers, the bar, the bench, and the public through long performance related to the practice of labor and employment law that they represent.

John is co-chair of Cozen O’Connor’s national OSHA-Workplace Safety Practice. He has extensive experience assisting employers with internal safety audits, defending against complaints of safety and health retaliation, resolving citations at the informal conference stage, contesting citations (including fatality investigations), assisting with root cause investigations, and responding to OSHA rapid response investigations. As a former trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor, John prosecuted OSHA cases and received a commendation for his prosecution of a discrimination complaint. He also regularly handles wage and hour matters including class and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act, the New York Labor Law, New York’s Miscellaneous Industries Wage Order, and New York’s Hospitality Wage Order.

Jake combines more than 25 years of experience as a trial lawyer with a background of high-level human resources leadership experience to provide unique versatility in counseling and representing clients in all aspects of labor and employment law and human resources practices. Jake’s litigation work includes employment discrimination, traditional labor, and wage and hour cases. Jake also counsels clients on labor and employment law compliance and policy design, and also advises human resources professionals on imaginative solutions to difficult workplace problems.
