PHILADELPHIA, April 22, 2025 — The Legal Intelligencer announced finalists and honorees for its 2025 Pennsylvania Legal Awards, including Cozen O’Connor members Anna M. McDonough and Jeffrey M. Monhait. McDonough is a Most-Effective Dealmaker finalist and Monhait is a finalist for Best Law Firm Mentor.
McDonough focuses her practice on business combinations and other complex corporate transactions and also provides corporate counseling. She has been recognized for her outstanding legal contributions throughout her career. In 2019, she was the recipient of Immigration Equality’s Safe Haven Award for her excellence in pro bono representation. She has also received Lexology’s Client Choice Award 2022, 2021, and 2018 and is recognized by the International Law Office for her outstanding client service. In 2024, McDonough closed four transformational deals in highly regulated sectors ranging in value from $90 million to $185 million.
Monhait is an experienced litigator who helps companies of all sizes navigate business and commercial issues by bringing a practical, problem-solving mindset to every matter. He regularly works with clients in the technology sector and has significant experience navigating the pre-trial process, especially with issues pertaining to federal court subject matter jurisdiction, evidentiary issues, and third-party subpoena practice. Monhait started mentoring early in his career and has engaged in formal and informal mentorship continuously ever since. He typically works with two or three formal mentees and several informal mentees at a time, and he serves as a writing mentor to a summer associate each year.
