Dera Barlow Selected to The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40

Dera Barlow has been selected to the “Top 40 Under 40” in Texas by the National Black Lawyers (NBL). This exclusive recognition is reserved for the top 40 under 40 African American attorneys in each state, recognized for their outstanding legal skills and meaningful professional contributions. Membership is exclusively by invitation, based on referrals from existing members, the NBL Executive Committee, and independent research. The NBL reviews each potential member’s notable achievements, settlements, nominations from leading lawyers, and several other evaluation factors before extending an invitation to the Top 40 Under 40 in each state.

Dera focuses her practice on complex civil litigation and insurance. She has experience in business and commercial litigation, products liability, personal injury, energy disputes, construction defect, mass torts, and appeals. Additionally, Dera has advised insurance industry personnel on potential exposure and case developments. Dera has also represented clients in various civil matters, including personal injury/wrongful death, oil and gas, and mass tort litigation.
