In this article, Jerry covers the idea of neighborhood city halls by John Lindsay and its impact on NYC’s community planning boards; emphasizes the need for an in-depth review of the city charter to increase efficiency and responsiveness of city government; and recommends reviewing how other cities structure their governments and deliver their services. He also suggests creating a “Suggestion Box App” to encourage New Yorkers to share their visions and ideas with the city government.
