Melissa concentrates her practice on subrogation matters. Melissa has extensive experience with insurance matters, including defending property, homeowners, automobile, and bad faith claims.
Before joining Cozen O'Connor, Melissa was an associate with a civil litigation firm headquartered in San Diego, where she gained experience in trial preparation, motions practice, discovery, depositions, and pre-trial settlement negotiation. She also assisted clients by drafting coverage analysis memoranda.
Melissa earned her joint B.S. in criminal justice/B.A. in Spanish from San Diego State University and her J.D. from California Western School of Law. She is a fluent Spanish speaker.
