Max is a knowledgeable associate who assists Cozen O'Connor's attorneys across several of the firm’s practice groups, primarily focusing on litigation-oriented areas of law. He gained experience as a summer associate with the firm in 2023.
Max has developed substantial experience navigating the regulatory and class action litigation landscape within the food and beverage industry. He has supported clients in this space through settlement negotiations, drafting pleadings, engaging in motion practice, and managing discovery in complex class action matters. Max also advises on regulatory compliance for packaged food products and counsels clients on minimizing legal and regulatory risk in their marketing and advertising strategies.
Max earned his J.D., cum laude, from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where he was a staff editor of the Washington University Global Studies Law Review. During law school, he served as an intern with the U.S. Attorneys' Office for the Southern District of Illinois. He was also involved in bringing litigation against a Missouri administrative agency for First Amendment violations as a student attorney in the First Amendment Clinic.
While an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Max interned at the U.S. Embassy in Vienna, Austria, in the political and economic affairs section of the U.S. Department of State.
