Evan Bursey

Associate

Evan focuses his practice on construction law matters. Before joining the firm, Evan served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Vijay Shanker of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and for the Honorable J. Michael Ryan of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

Additionally, Evan is a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He is assigned to the 16th Legal Operations Detachment (Trial Defense Service) where he represents soldiers facing criminal prosecution and administrative separation.

Evan earned his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School in 2022, where he was a member of the International Law Review, the Moot Court and Mock Trial Boards, and the Black Law Students Association. He graduated cum laude from The George Washington University in 2017 with a B.A. in both economics and political science before going on to complete his Master of Public Policy in 2018.
