Dan focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters, including life insurance and other financial fraud cases. In the life insurance sector, he aids estates, families of insureds, and insurance companies litigating and fighting against investors operating stranger-originated life insurance (STOLI) schemes. Dan counsels his clients on an array of complex claims, including RICO, civil conspiracy, breach of contract, bad faith, fraud, and unjust enrichment in state and federal courts across the country.
Prior to joining the firm, he served as a judicial intern with the Honorable Mark A. Kearney, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of Delaware. There, he gained experience drafting opinions on complex federal issues and statutory interpretation.
Dan earned his law degree, cum laude, from Villanova University's Charles Widger School of Law, where he was a Charles Widger ’73 Scholar. Dan was the chair of the National Trial Team, a board member of the Murphy Family Endowed Moot Court Board, and the vice president of the Villanova Law Students Against Sexual Violence. Before attending law school, he worked as a senior associate for client engagement and business development manager for a consulting firm in Washington, D.C. He earned his undergraduate degree in legal studies and political science from the Honors College of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After law school, Dan returned to Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law as an adjunct professor of trial advocacy, where he coaches students on the National Trial Team and assists them with preparing for National Trial Competitions around the country.
