Nicole Renna

Associate

Nicole concentrates her practice on insurance coverage, general liability, and complex commercial disputes. She represents insurers and institutional clients in state and federal courts, advising on coverage issues and litigating matters arising under a wide range of first‑ and third‑party policies.

Nicole has extensive experience managing all phases of complex litigation, including matters involving commercial general liability, excess and umbrella, D&O, E&O, property, commercial auto, marine, and reinsurance policies. Her work has addressed high‑stakes claims involving environmental incidents, construction defects, professional liability, premises liability, employment disputes, public nuisance actions, and third‑party criminal conduct. She routinely drafts coverage opinions, reservations of rights, and disclaimers, and has argued dispositive motions, including motions to dismiss and summary judgment, achieving favorable outcomes for her clients.

Before entering private practice, Nicole served as a legal intern with the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, where she researched and drafted memoranda on evidentiary issues, assisted with discovery, and appeared in arraignments and hearings. She earned her J.D. from Cornell Law School, where she served as an executive editor of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy and a bench editor for the Cornell Law Moot Court Board. She received her B.A. in English and political science from The George Washington University.
