Thomas is a leading transactional real estate attorney who advises clients on a broad spectrum of real estate matters. He handles complex acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, and various financing structures, including mortgage, mezzanine, and construction loans. Thomas also has significant experience with recapitalizations, preferred equity, and diverse leasing arrangements, such as intricate sale-leasebacks and other net lease transactions. He regularly counsels clients on eight- and nine-figure deals, both domestically and cross-border, involving industrial, manufacturing, retail, office, and healthcare assets.
With a decade of experience at large international law firms and as Associate General Counsel for a major New York real estate investment and development company, Thomas possesses a deep understanding of both the legal and business aspects of real estate development and investment. He has played a key role in some of New York City's most significant redevelopment projects, including the World Trade Center and the $1.6 billion Moynihan Train Hall.
Thomas earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and his B.A. in economics, magna cum laude, from Bucknell University.
