Tim advises lenders, servicers, and transactional parties nationwide on complex real estate finance matters, with a focus on institutional lenders originating and selling multifamily mortgage loans to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. He guides clients through every stage of the loan lifecycle, including negotiating documents, managing due diligence, and ensuring compliance with agency program requirements.
Tim joined the firm along with the multifamily finance team from Moss & Barnett in 2026. As members of one of the leading law firms nationwide in representing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lenders, the M&B team has successfully closed thousands of these loans in every product line, including portfolio and capital markets executions, credits facilities and other structured transactions, targeted affordable housing programs, seniors housing, manufactured housing and small-balance loans. Tim has significant experience across this range of products and works with clients to efficiently close their loans and deliver exceptional service to borrowers.
Prior to joining Moss & Barnett, Tim served as in-house counsel for a St. Paul-based property development and management company and practiced real estate law in Minneapolis, working with purchasers, sellers, and landlords.
Tim earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School, with a concentration in environmental and energy law. Prior to his career as a lawyer, Tim attended Knox College and worked in outdoor education and consumer rights. Outside the office, Tim enjoys photography, music, and travel.
