Michael Munger

Michael is a seasoned subrogation litigator with more than three decades of experience. He handles large property and construction subrogation cases for insurance companies, including leading trials across multiple states and managing cases in excess of $10,000,000 in losses.

Prior to joining Cozen O’Connor, Michael served as house counsel for a global insurer, where he was lead trial counsel for all aspects of subrogation litigation and responsible for risk assessment on seven and eight-figure losses. Before that, he spent 15 years was as a partner with a boutique subrogation firm based in Norristown, Pennsylvania, where he was responsible for all aspects of subrogation litigation for midwest-based clients large property losses and serving as lead trial counsel in multiple federal and state jurisdictions.

Michael began his legal career as an assistant district attorney with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, where he tried dozens of criminal matters, including capital murder cases. Later on, he served as lead trial counsel in defense of eight-figure medical malpractice and general liability matters with a boutique litigation firm.

After earning his B.A. in economics from the University of Richmond, Michael earned his J.D. from Widener University School of Law.
