Atiya represents lenders who originate and sell loans secured by multifamily projects to secondary market investors, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. As part of her practice, she prepares and negotiates loan documents, evaluates legal opinions, examines title and survey, and assesses other due diligence to ensure regulatory compliance. Atiya enjoys working with all parties to ensure a successful closing.
Atiya joined the firm as part of the highly regarded real estate practice group from Moss & Barnett in 2026. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in business from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management. Before pursuing a career in law, Atiya spent five years as a financial and commodity risk management analyst.
